Clergy & Staff
Rector: Rev. Malia Crawford
The Reverend Malia Crawford has been the rector of Church of Our Saviour since November 2011. Her passion is building bridges across differences: fostering relationships between people of different ages, cultures, and abilities, and ultimately helping humans connect with God. Malia has studied Spanish, Japanese, French, and has recently started Mandarin Chinese.
Malia graduated from MIT with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics in 1996 and afterwards taught in Gabon, Central Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer. She received her Master of Divinity degree from Harvard Divinity School in 2005. Prior to becoming Our Saviour’s rector, she was the Curate at Grace Church in New Bedford, MA. There, she focused on small group ministries, community organizing, and ministry with children. She and her spouse, Amy, have one son.

Lay Minister for Christian Formation: Fiona Vidal-White
Fiona Vidal-White is a transplanted Brit who, after studying to be a singer for 15 years, moved through church music with children and adults to Christian education and teaching in schools. She has worked in many churches in the diocese, as church musician, Christian educator, and consultant. Fiona has an undergraduate degree in the performing arts, a master’s degree in sacred music from Boston University, and a master’s degree in elementary education from Lesley University.
She is the author of the hymnal My Heart Sings Out and its companion leader’s guide, designed as a musical resource for all-age worship. Her passions include the welcome and formation of all God’s people, especially children and teens, through teaching and learning, hands-on in-reach and outreach, and liturgy and music. She is married to Jeremy and has two children.
Parish Administrator: Gena Bean
Gena Bean comes to Church of Our Saviour with enthusiasm for the vision of love, justice, and care.
Her history running a mindful meditation community organization gave her the skills needed to keep our office running smoothly during the week.
On the weekends, she teaches meditation and records audio for the mindfulness radio station MBZ1.
Music Director: Casey Hannan
Casey Hannan has dedicated much of his life to learning and teaching music and technology, earning master’s degrees in piano performance and statistics along the way. His latest endeavor is building a Hauptwerk Virtual Organ at Church of Our Saviour, merging his software skills with his love for organ playing. He is especially grateful to be part of a church community that not only has substantial technical expertise and encourages liturgical and musical experimentation but also places a strong emphasis on addressing justice issues.
During the week, he works as a software engineer and corporate trainer, while on Sundays, he directs music at Our Saviour. Despite his busy schedule, he still makes time to teach math to children. He resides in Belmont with his spouse and their phenomenal cat.
Officers & Vestry
The Vestry provides leadership and serves as the governing board of the church. Members oversee fiscal management, decide how time, talent, and treasure can be most wisely used, and together with the priest, help to form the vision for the church’s future.
